Temwa’s 2022 Events

At Temwa we focus on Bringing communities together not only in our programmes overseas but here in the UK. So we have put together some amazing events you can get involved in over the year and help raise money for the life changing work we do…

There are lots of exciting opportunities on offer…. whether it’s running a marathon, climbing some hills, or giving up alcohol for a month, everyone can get involved.

January

Dry January – Help rural communities in Malawi access clean drinking water by giving up alcohol in January! This event is now closed.

February 

March for Malawi Challenge – Join us for our latest virtual walking challenge. Last year it was Climb for Community, this year it’s March for Malawi where you will have options for 5km/10km/20km challenges! This event is now closed.

May

7th May – Temwa’s Spring Trek – For the last few years Temwa has hosted a variety of challenging Treks. In 2021 it was the brilliant Brecon Beacons Three Peaks Challenge, join us in 2022 for another day in the Brecons climbing Corn Du, Pen y Fan, Fan y Big, and Cribyn. This event is now closed.

June

17th June – The Big Bristol Charity Boogie – Hosted by For the Love Productions at the famous Bristol Fleece, join us for a night of dancing, singing, and joy. Joined by the Soul Destroyers and the Arkansaw Duke Box Collective! This event is now closed.

September

16th-18th September – Temwa’s Cycle Challenge (3 days) – Join us for this fantastic 3 day 360km challenge from the Welsh mountains to Bristol, cycling through truly spectacular scenery with plenty of hills along the way. This event is now closed. 

24th September – Autumn Trek (1 day) – We will once again be organising a fantastic trek somewhere in the beautiful British hills where you will be challenged to walk somewhere in excess of 15km in 1 day. So get your walking boots ready! This event is now closed.

October

Bath Half Marathon – Sunday 16th October. Get your running shoes on and join us for one of the UK’s most iconic Half marathon routes. This event is now closed.

December 

Temwa Annual Christmas Party – Every year, we like to bring our incredible community of supporters together to celebrate the year, usually with an auction of incredible prizes, delicious local food, and amazing entertainment! Find out more and sign up here
