Rock N Rumble is making it’s raucous return!

What: A night of non-stop entertainment, Temwa’s annual wrestling competition brings a community together to see the ultimate battle of Goodies vs Baddies.  20 everyday people have been learing to wrestle in 7 weeks and will compete to become ROCK N RUMBLE CHAMPIONS 2019.

Unforgettable characters, electric entertainment and a whole lot of lycra marks the third instalment of Temwa’s charity wrestling night. 

With all the theatrics of WWE and outrageous costumes colliding with the techniques of olympic wrestling, Rock N Rumble is a memorable night fuelled by glitter, sweat and good vibes. Not only are the wrestlers well into their training but the tension is building as the rivalry grows stronger each week. Soon they will be ready to face the world and show off their finessed skills at the live event.

Tickets are on sale now! Doors open at 7pm. Audience participation is highly encouraged, enjoy music and all-out entertainment, and visit the cash bar and snack stations to keep your energy levels high.

Here’s a taste of what to expect!

 

For the participants

***Training for this event has begun and has now closed***

A challenge like no other. You’ll receive seven weeks of professional training from Saeed Esmaeli, olympic coach and founder of Esmaeli Wrestling and ‘Wrestling for Humanity’. Beyond learning wrestling techniques and movement methods you’ll develop discipline, fitness, mindful flow, confidence and you’ll be part of an incredible team; supportive, social and fun.

At the end of training comes the epic live event. Overflowing with energy, here ensues a battle of Goodies vs. Baddies. This is where your creativity can spill out onto the wrestling mat, bringing characters to life and turning your newly refined techniques into performance worthy wrestling matches. A vibrant battle for the title of Rock N Rumble Champions of 2019.

Training Schedule

Participants will be expected to attend two training sessions per week, starting from Wednesday 2nd October, until the live event on Friday 15th November.

Training takes place at the City Academy in Easton: Russell Town Ave, Bristol BS5 9JH

Wednesdays || 8pm – 9.30pm

AND

Sundays || 2.30pm – 4.30pm

By taking part in the challenge each participant agrees to raise £500 (before Gift Aid) and reach 80% of this target before the live event.

Once registered, we’ll be in touch with fundraising tips and advice on how to meet – and beat! – your sponsorship target. You’ll receive one-to-one support from our fundraising team who are always happy to provide resources and answer any questions you may have in the lead up to, during and after the challenge.
