Autumn Ceilidh at The Greenbank

‘Maybe Ceilidh’ at The Greenbank

Thursday 8th November

7.30pm-11pm

As autumn nears winter, join us for a night of merriment and stripping the willow at The Greenbank in Easton with Maybe Ceilidh hosting the perfect autumn fundraiser to warm your cockles.

Maybe Ceilidh’s mission is to bring the fun into ceilidh dancing. With highly experienced musicians from the UK and Ireland, the most infectious tunes and all the right dance moves, they are guaranteed to get everybody dancing!

The band are led by caller Karen Woods, a musical teacher and highly in demand ceilidh caller across the South West. Regular musicians include Joe Evans on accordion and double bass; Finbar Maginn, hailing from Belfast and playing guitar; and Tricia Hastings, a superb fiddle player from County Claire. A rotating cast of guest musicians joins the party on a regular basis.

What you can expect…

Whether your favourite is The Dashing White Sergeant, The Cumberland Square Eight or The Flying Scotsman there will be something for everyone.

Come after work with your colleagues as the evenings get colder, get friends together or come down and meet new people from the community.

Not only will you love the dancing but you’ll also be helping transform lives of people living in one of the poorest countries on earth. The proceeds from ticket sales go to supporting Temwa’s projects reducing poverty in remote communities, where £5 can provide someone with access to safe water or plant 10 trees.
