This summer, Temwa has once again teamed up with some of the UK’s biggest and best summer festivals to raise funds to ease Malawi’s ongoing food crisis.
Through our biggest crowdfunder yet, A Future Without Hunger, you can pledge money to be in a with a chance of winning tickets to Boomtown, Shambala or Bestival!
As a result of last year’s festival ticket crowdfunder we were able to we instigate emergency food distribution intervention to 1,000 households in response to shortages. Throughout the past year we have also made huge progress in increasing crop yields through training on farming methods, as well as conducting awareness and training sessions on climate change and adaptation – an activity that has reached 3,500 people. All of that as a result of your support!
However, the food crisis is ongoing and the situation in northern Malawi, where Temwa operates, remains fragile. All money raised through this crowdfunder will go directly to Temwa and help to fund another year of our response to the crisis.
