Art for Africa is back!
Saturday 10th June | Attic Bar, Bristol
Once again, we’re joining forces with Bristol’s hottest urban and contemporary artists – from big names to up-and-coming talent – to bring you a night of fresh art, music and street food.
Can’t make it on the 10th June but want to bid on a lot? We’ll miss you… And you’ll miss a great party! But you can still bid on your favourite lots 🙂
How to bid:
1) bid in person at the auction
2) place a reserve bid
3) telephone bid
4) use our internet bidding system
Artwork is contributed each year by some of the UK’s finest urban and contemporary artists, alongside budding African artists from Malawi. Our first art auction was held at the Tobacco Factory in August 2003, and since then each year the auctions have gone from strength to strength.
2017 is a special year! Not only do we have more lots up for auction than any year previously, we will be holding our first Kids Painting Workshop on the day from 4 – 6 pm, run by the inspirational team at Paintsmiths. So this year, with live painting, street food, t-shirt printing, screen printing and DJs til late, there’s something for all the family!
Pieces start from under £100 so even if you’ve never been to an auction before, this is the perfect opportunity to get your hands on something unique – and of course, it’s all in aid of our ongoing work to build sustainable, self-reliant communities in northern Malawi.
